From Here To Eternity Album by A Starlite Gray Review

A Starlight Gray just released their album “From Here To Eternity”, which you should check out on YouTube and Spotify if you will. Let’s get into it.

Track 1 – “Arrival” I love the fact that it reminds me of Miss May I, if you’re familiar with them, the song, “Forgive And Forget” with the Television reporter talking in it.  Though, it takes an interesting turn around around 1:26. The song starts to get a little heavier. Then you get taken for a trip around the galaxy. Hey that’s just what I got out of it. Two major thumbs up for A Starlite Gray.

Track 2 – “Revision” the guitar playing is immense! It reminds me a lot like Bullet For My Valentine mixed with Born Of Osiris it is definitely a song that will get people moving in the pit.

I reached out to Shane to find out more about this awesome track and he let me have some background info and told me the meaning behind the song.

“With Revision, when you get clean, it’s a whole different way of living. Not having something clear to guide you like drugs did in addiction, you have to figure it out for yourself. We need to reach a hand out to these people that want help because relapse easily leads to death that’s why we need to learn to understand and help one another. I lost too many friends and if me singing about it can help someone, that’s why I’m here.”

Track 3 – “Love Remains” Heavily reminds me of a fusion of All That Remains and Killswitch Engage. I love how the clean vocals mix with the screaming with that heavy thrash guitar. With Valentines day coming up anyone who has lost a loved one can feel this song. This song is definitely for you.

Track 4 – “Halos” definitely has Asking Alexandria vibes to it with metalcore sounding roots. I like the guitar fills that lead up to the heavy vocals at 2:00 and 2:28 leading into the heavy breakdown. It is one of those songs that will definitely get you singing the chorus.

Track 5 – “From Here To Eternity” 1:11 I have to say is my favorite part the guitar riff mixed with the heavy vocals it’s hypnotic and sticks with you in your head a lot. This song live will have a great ending song. It is sometimes extended live to make it longer and build up the ending more to really get the audience pumped. While the guitars ending hold out, the last word being screamed would really the set the night off with a huge ending.
