I have a confession! I am a huge Coheed and Cambria fan! I’ve completely immersed myself into The Amory Wars (a graphic novel series written by singer Claudio Sanchez that takes place in the Coheed and Cambria universe) and even side-tracked into Claudio’s solo project, The Prize Fighter Inferno. They’ve been an absolutely stellar band with one of the most interesting concepts behind their music.
This new single, “Blind Side Sunny”, makes me smile so big. As a Coheed nerd, I’m loving the reactions people have when they hear Claudio scream for the first time (it isn’t his first time). This song is a rare instance of Coheed track where they just decide to say fuck it and scream a whole song. It’s got the 2-step beat and the breakdown. If you’re a nerd like me, it reminds me a lot of “Hollywood” off of The Afterman! I’m so fucking excited to hear their next album!
